Sim Owner Detail (referred to here as "we," "us," or "our") is an independent, Pakistan-focused educational website published at simsownersdetail.com. Our purpose is simple: help ordinary Pakistanis understand how to use PTA's own free SIM verification tools — the 668 SMS shortcode, the cnic.sims.pk portal, and the 667 code — properly and legally, without falling for the dozens of scam "lookup" sites that circulate online.

We hold no relationship with PTA, NADRA, the FIA, NCCIA, or any licensed telecom operator such as Jazz, Zong, Telenor, or Ufone. Nothing on this Site is issued, reviewed, or approved by any of those bodies — we are simply an independent publisher of educational guides.

Our team researches and writes every guide by cross-referencing publicly available PTA notices, operator help pages, and reputable Pakistani news coverage of telecom policy. When a rule changes — a shortcode is retired, a fee is adjusted, or a new biometric requirement comes into force — we aim to update the relevant article as soon as we can confirm the change from an official source.

What we collect depends entirely on how you use the Site. Most visitors who simply read our guides generate only anonymous, aggregate usage data. A smaller amount of personal information is collected only if you choose to contact us or leave a comment.

Anything we collect is put toward a small, specific list of purposes — nothing beyond what's needed to run a free educational website responsibly.

• Running and improving the Site — knowing which guides get the most traffic helps us decide what to update first and where to fix broken pages.
• Replying to you — if you email us or fill out the contact form, we use your name and address purely to send back an answer.
• Showing relevant ads — our advertising partners (detailed in Section 7) use limited data to display ads that fund the free content on this Site.
• Keeping the Site secure — server logs help us spot bot traffic, spam, and suspicious activity before it causes problems.

Running a free website means relying on a handful of outside services to keep things online, fast, and funded. Here's what we currently use, and what each one is for:

None of these third parties are under our control, and each operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage reviewing those policies if you have specific concerns.

We take reasonable, practical steps to keep any data we hold safe from unauthorised access, alteration, or loss. In practice, this includes:

• Hardened admin access with regular software and security updates
• Firewall and traffic-filtering protection at the server level
• Contact form submissions transmitted securely and kept only as long as needed
• Routine backups stored on encrypted infrastructure

How long we keep things: contact form messages are kept for up to 90 days after your query is resolved, then deleted. Anonymous analytics data may be retained for up to 26 months, in line with standard analytics defaults.

If we ever discover an incident that puts personal data at meaningful risk, we intend to inform affected users as soon as reasonably possible, describe what happened in plain language, and outline the steps we're taking to contain and fix it — rather than staying silent about it.

Content Aimed At Adults

Sim Owner Detail is written for adults and anyone legally eligible to hold a SIM under Pakistani regulation — generally 18 and above, or a minor with proper biometric parental consent as PTA requires. We don't knowingly gather personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us without appropriate consent, email privacy@simsownersdetail.com and we'll remove it promptly.

Our guides link out to a small set of trusted, official destinations, including:

Once you click through to any of these, this Policy no longer applies — each destination has its own privacy practices, and we'd encourage checking them if you're unsure. We're not responsible for how an external site, even one we consider a trusted official source, handles your data.

We may revise this Policy occasionally to reflect new practices, new tools, or changes in PTA or NADRA regulation that affect how we write about SIM verification.

When something changes, here's what happens:

1. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page is refreshed.
2. For any significant change, we'll flag it on the homepage or relevant guide pages for at least 30 days.
